New Traditions with Woolwich Dairy

The holiday season is filled with anticipation of favorite dishes prepared in celebration of this festive time of year. Culinary traditions connect us to our past, bring meaning to our table and offer the promise of comforting, delicious meals to come.

Woolwich Dairy presents a “New Traditions” SideCar event, offering a fresh take on six holiday recipe staples. Once you taste Woolwich Dairy’s unique goat’s milk products in each of these, you’ll want to create a new tradition for your family and friends with each delicious dish.

Amanda of Fake Ginger begins and ends the day on a high note with Woolwich Dairy products. First, a Holiday Morning Strata layered with sausage, mushrooms, and Woolwich Dairy Goat Cheddar makes breakfast a breeze. Assembled the night before and baked while presents are being opened in the morning, the result is melted, gooey goodness that she compares to a “savory bread pudding.”

For dessert, Amanda worked magic on Honeycrisp apples, stuffing them with an irresistible combination of sweet, salty and crunchy, then topping them with Woolwich Dairy Goat Brie before baking to a delicious finish.

Kathy from A Good Appetite gives a nod to sweet potatoes, a holiday staple that only recently made its way onto her holiday menu. With the addition of maple syrup, cayenne pepper and Woolwich Dairy Chevrai, she creates Maple Glazed Sweet Potato & Goat Cheese, a dish that is sweet, spicy and tangy all at the same time.

Nothing could be more traditional for holiday dessert than Figgy Pudding, but in Kathy’s talented hands, this dessert does the singing. Individual ramekins turn out elegant soufflés layered with savory custard, chopped figs and Woolwich Dairy Triple Creme Brie

Meghan also used Woolwich Dairy Goat Cheddar to pull together Holiday Cheddar Mash, a nutritious twist on classic mashed potatoes. By combining the creamy cheddar with a selection of root vegetables known for their spice, this tasty version offers both comfort and kick.
